Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information limpopoboreholes.co.za collects, why, and what your rights are under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). The site is run by LY CONSULTING (CIPC enterprise number K2025781371).

What we collect

When you ask for a quote we receive what you send us: your name, cellphone number, the location of your plot, what the water is for, and anything else you write. If you tap "Use my location", your phone shares its location with the page so the map can find your plot. We do not use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics.

Why we use it

Only to get you a borehole quote: to reply to you and to pass your request to a Limpopo driller who can quote on your plot. We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing.

Who sees it

The driller we pass your request to. Quote requests travel over WhatsApp, which is run by Meta, and email. The map uses aerial photos from Esri and address search from Photon (komoot), so the place you search for is sent to those services.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to handle your quote, and no longer than 12 months after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, by emailing [email protected]. Our information officer is Lifa Yende. If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator.
